Installing your new fibre optic connection with V4 Consumer is a two-step process designed to ensure a seamless and efficient setup. Here’s what you can expect:
1. External Installation
In this stage, we bring the fibre optic cables to the outside of your property. This can be done in one of two ways:
- Underground Ducting:
Fibre optic cables are routed through underground ducts to your property.
- Overhead Cables:
Cables are installed via nearby poles, depending on the existing infrastructure in your area.
Which method we use depends on the infrastructure available in your local area, ensuring the most effective and reliable connection.
2. Internal Installation
After the external work is complete, the next step is bringing the fibre optic cables into your home:
- Connecting to Your Property:
Fibre optic cables are carefully brought inside and connected to a router.
- Setting Up Your Devices:
The router will then connect to your personal devices, either via Wi-Fi or ethernet cables, delivering your high-speed broadband service.
